25th April, 2017 - Iron Throne
Not winning the Iron Maiden two years in a row kinda sucks. I mean, like, it actually kinda stings. That match is NOT fun. It hurts, it’s a brutal match, but hey, what can you do? You havta get back up, dust yourself off, and get back on the horse. It’s the only way to get through this ride. I don’t know why this is leading towards horse riding, I don’t even ride horses….but yeah, it’s not my first rodeo….sheesh, I need to stop that. I’ve been knocked down before, and like Chumbawumba said, “I get knocked down, but I get up again!” Story of my life, you can definitely say that. I've been knocked down more times than I'd care to admit, but one thing I'm proud of, is that I always get back up. It's why I've learned to accept than when I lose? It just means I wasn't the better lady on that given night, but it doesn't mean I won't be on the next. This world we live in is full of surprises, and if that rat bastard Spike Kane taught me anything?
It was that anyone can beat anyone on any given night.
But I tip my hat to Pandora Freeman. It takes something special to become the Iron Maiden, don't let the fact that Fiona McFly did nothing with that accolade dissuade you, it's a great achievement, and you should be proud of yourself. I know I'm proud of you, I know…. Weird, huh? I'm proud of one of my opponents. See, you don't have to hate everyone you fight. I like Pandora, she's a likeable girl. I just hope she knows what the hell she's getting into with Spike….
Speaking of, I wouldn't be able to write this without saying how much my heart leapt out of my chest last night. He came back. He showed up, totally out of the blue, and shocked us all. Warren came back! In an instant I felt a rush of emotions, joy, relief, and an overbearing sense of sadness. For hear was a guy I'd considered my best friend, finally free of Eternity….. But nobody saved him…. Nobody went and got him…
He did it all on his own…
Damn.

It’s that time of the week again where we check in on our plucky Punk Rock Princess, and would you believe it, it’s “Old Firm” Derby Day in Glasgow once again, twice in two weeks Celtic and Rangers go head to head, and Shea O’Hara is sat crossed legged on the sofa in the house of Kate and Teddy Steele with the large screen TV on relatively loud showing the match in full HD. Shea is dressed in her custom Celtic jersey cuddling an oversized “Hoopie” stuffed toy. Shea leans forwards as the action intensifies on the screen before she jumps up off the sofa, throwing the stuffed toy in the air.
Shea: PENALTY!
Shea stands in the center of the room, her Celtic jersey barely covering her pyjama shorts, exposing her bare legs as she stands with bated breath awaiting the referee's decision and then clenching her fists as the player steps up to take the penalty kick. The ball flies into the back of the net and Shea runs around the living room shouting with her arms outstretched.
Shea: GOOOOAAAALLL!!!!
Behind Shea we see a very sleepy, and considerably annoyed Teddy Steel walk into frame. He looks at Shea while wiping sleep from his eyes, and looks at her with a “really!?” look on his face.
Teddy: Come on with this shit again Shea?
Shea: Aww come on Teddy! It’s the Old Firm!
Teddy: Again! Two Sundays in a row girl, normal people use this time to sleep!
Teddy isn’t exaclty pissed off, but he is annoyed, but Shea has stopped dead in her tracks. Behind Teddy, past him and through the hallway, through the windows to the side of the front door she catches a glimpse of something that stops her heart. A glimpse, just a glimpse that stops it for a second before it begins to flutter. Standing outside, glaring at her, as though with hatred in his eyes….is Warren Kane.
Shea: What the? ….Warren? ….WARREN!?
Shea barges past Teddy who is in the middle of trying to explain how Shea is being a nuisance and ruining his day of rest, but she doesn’t care, she doesn’t even acknowledge his words, she doesn’t hear a single syllable. She storms right past him and through to the main door to the house. She flings it open and runs right out into the garden, the early sunrise shines down onto her face, her orange unkempt hair flowing out behind her, her bare legs filling with goosebumps…..but nobody is there.
Teddy: Shea? ….Shea! Hey! What the hell!?
Shea: Warren! Warren!? He….he was here.
She frantically looks around, her heart is pounding, she swore she saw him, his eyes piercing her very soul, that look of hatred burning into her, but….he isn’t here. Tears begin to sting the corners of her eyes as she folds her arms around herself, more to protect herself from the feeling of unease than the cold. Behind her Kate Steele has now joined Teddy, the two seem to be talking, and Teddy is shaking his head.
Teddy: You need to talk to her Kate, she’s losing it….I can’t keep putting up with this.
Kate comes out and puts her arm around Shea, Shea jumps just ever so slightly, before leaning into the arms of Kate as her friend consoles her.
Shea: I swear I saw him Kate….I swear…
Kate: Don’t worry Shea Bae…..just come inside and calm down, we’ll watch the game and have some tea, maybe you’re mind is firing on all cylinders because he’s back and you’re excited because of the game and everything….
The two of them walk back towards the house leaning into each other, but before the door closes, Shea gives one last long look back into the garden, certainty clear on her face.

29th April, 2017 - Shield Sisters
I have to wonder when I see the match we have this week, just how stable are these two teams? Astrid and I? We're cut from the same cloth. Shield-Sisters was the words she used last week, and I felt honoured when she said it. We're two of a kind, and I know that I shouldn't get too close because if we do come out on the other side of this, then we have to go head to head the week after for a chance to face Eternity….
Shit.
I don't curse often, but it astounds me how things seem to come full circle.
Yet on the other side of the ring we have Rowan and Charity…. And things there aren't exactly smooth sailing are they? I mean, if memory serves…. Rowan downright threatened the entire roster just to get to Charity, right? Sooooo, do we really expect them to co-exist as a team? Do we really expect Rowan at least to care about the Shield Maiden and Eternity? This woman has been so single minded, so focused that nothing else matters….. and I, for the life of me, can't understand why the Iwf higher ups would book this match. I mean, Rowan isn't your typical Diamond. Yeah, she's a tough Irish Chick, much like myself, but she goes that one step further…. She doesn't just go out there to beat people, she goes out there to hurt people. So tell me, do you really expect her to respect the sanctity of a wrestling match and not try and wreak havoc on Charity the first chance she gets?
It's not going to be a wrestling match, it's going to be a massacre….
Charity…. I don't know what to say. You're the Diamond in the Rough, a feat you should be proud of, and honoured to hold. I have nothing but respect for you, and I'd be truly looking forward to locking up with you properly for the second week in a row, but I can't sit here and pretend that this “match” is anything more than a sham. Even if Rowan doesn't attack you out of the gate, your mind isn't going to be in it, you're going to be looking over your shoulder the entire time, watching, waiting, expecting her to act….. And that just isn't right.
Notting about this is right.
Call me ignorant, call me stupid, call me whatever you want, but I never want to prosper because someone else has had to suffer. I've seen way too much of that happen in IWF, and it's no surprise that they hired someone with a reputation like Rowan, more fuel for the fire, more people like Roberto Verona, like Spike Kane, like Eternity, the list goes on…..
It's just not right.
I want this to be a great match. I want Astrid and I to showcase how great a team we can be, to show what great work Emma Danielson is doing down in developmental, to show what IWF can really do, what the next generation can provide….I just don’t think we’re going to get the chance. If we do? Oh, boy….we’re gonna deliver, of that I have no doubt. I have every faith in Astrid to have my back, after all, why would she want to throw away a chance to go after a championship with such a name as the Shield Maiden? It’s almost like it was custom made for her…...but my doubts remain, but you know what? Screw it….I’m gonna go out there and do what I always do, rock the house, and kick some ass. I’ve got my so-called Shield-Sister at my back, and two mean sisters on the other side of the ring, and it’s going to be one hell of a match.
If it actually happens.
