Night of the Immortals is right around the corner and as the biggest show every year for IWF one has to wonder about some of the potential match ups we are going to be treated to.
The main event has been known since Andrew Jacobsen won the Roulette and Cable Arcane retained against Noah Field. The question surrounding this match is will it be a fair fight? Up until very recently Cable Arcane was surrounded by men who assured him victory. However he will be stepping into the ring alone against Andrew, or will he? The House of Howlett is seemingly dead and gone but how many times have we seen one faction die just for another to be born? Of course Cable has been acting as if he's turned over a new leaf but I agree with Andrew when I question where his moral line is?
Another huge match up is for the Diamonds Championship and not necessarily because of the competitors in the match but because of the woman who will have a close eye on the outcome. Alexis Caffrey has made it quite clear that she wants a piece of Paige Garcia and you have to wonder if Alexis will come unhinged once again and make her presence felt? Of course there is every chance she will honor the code of the ring and allow Paige to defend on her own merits but then when has professional wrestling ever really been about honor, at least in IWF?
There rumors for a long time that Bob Pooler would be defending the Invictus Championship against Nighthawk at Night of the Immortals however with the sudden retirement of Nighthawk that match is clearly off the table. But another man who is more than willing to step into his shoes is protege of the legendary Nighthawk, Jayson Matthews. Jayson is a man who has never been taken seriously however with Nighthawk in his corner Night of the Immortals may just be the night Jayson puts it all together and finally becomes a staple of the IWF.
