Night of the Immortals was a huge for many people. From Devlin Raine to Pandora Freeman we saw legends end and history begin but for one man we saw history in the making.
From the day he joined ncw Andrew Jacobsen has been good but not good enough. Even his world title run is a foot note in a history that includes Adam Knite, Falcon, Spike Kane and Angel Blake. IWF was a new beginning for Andrw Jacobsen and even though he flirted with the man of steel championship he still never found his footing.
That is until 2017.
Andrew Jacobsen took a considerable amount of time off from IWF and decided to cruises the indies and hone his skills. He saw much success and was able to improve in many areas of his game. He decided after nearly two years away to answer the phone calls of IWF management and give the big leagues a second try.
What a great decisions that was.
Andrew Jacobsen returned to IWF and went on a huge tear, beating men he had never beaten before leading right up to the roulette match. On paper no one expected Andrew to win but in the end he out lasted 29 other men and secured himself a main event slot at night of the Immortals 2017.
Andrew Jacobsen would face Cable Arcane in a one off leading up to Cable's rematch with Noah Field, a match that saw Cable come out in top. However Andrew would keep the lessons he learned in that match and take them to the main event of night of the Immortals.
The match started off in Andrew"s favor as he put wrestled Cable Arcane and brought him to the mat many times. It was clear Andrew scouted his opponent. Cable would come back with an amazing striking game and nearly win but in the end Andrew was able to hit an Orange Crush Bomb in honor of Nighthawk and come away with the win and becoming the new IWF imeperoal champion.
For only the second time in his decade mind career Andrew Jacobsen stands atop a world renowned company as their top champion. He has made history by defeating the only two time imperial champion, a man who has reigned since the last heir to the throne tournament.
Andrew Jacobsen has already made history the only question is what does he do next?
Whatever it is I am sure it is going to be amazing.
