Lizzy has been pretty quiet. Normally that’s not a bad thing, but this time feels different. The biggest show of the year, Night of the Immortals has just passed, and my sister didn’t appreciate not being a part of it. She didn’t understand how someone of her standing wasn’t the focus. In her mind she should be the focus everywhere she goes.
She’s my focus…
The truth is, she just isn’t finding her way in wrestling like I had hoped. It’s unusual for us Dalmons to be anything but the best. She doesn’t blame herself, and she shouldn’t. But it isn’t exactly the Imperial Wrestling Federation’s fault either. They are running a business. It isn’t there job to make sure my sister is happy.
That honor belongs to me.
Without the focus being on her, she refused to even show up. That was probably a mistake. Sure, the world knows who she is, but she could have gained some good will inside the business. It could have possibly helped with finding her a new trainer. A task that is becoming increasingly more difficult.
In just a few hours we will be leaving for Scotland…
Hopefully, things will take on upswing. I know it would do wonders for Lizzy’s ego. I just want my sister to be happy. I’m learning that the cost for that is high. It isn’t all about money. All of the money in the world won’t make her happy.
She needs to be the best, she needs to be in control…
Landon closes his journal and slides his chair back from the wooden desk inside of his bedroom. He glances at his wrist and realizes that it’s almost time. He exits his room and heads down the hall to his sister Lizzy’s room. Without knocking he enters.
Lizzy: Not even a knock dear brother? Naughty boy, trying to catch me in a state of undress. Self control has never been your strong suit.
It’s true. Though the past couple of days he hasn’t had much of a choice. Surely he has been a good enough brother to change that. There is some time for extracurriculars.
Landon: About that…
Lizzy: It’s been almost a month, I know that even you’re not that sick brother. There is no way that you could still be using her for your personal pleasures.
Reluctantly, Landon had no choice but to dispose of the body. It wasn’t easy, and not something he ever thought he’d have to do. But as always, he’d do anything for his sister. He just wishes it was a two way street.
Lizzy: The two of you were good together. I swear I even saw a smile on her dead face.
Being a Dalmon, you are blessed in all aspects of life. Why would the bedroom be any different?
Landon: You’d watch us?
He feels sick to his stomach. There were things he did in there, he didn’t want anyone to know about.
Lizzy: Of course, did you think I wouldn’t have cameras hidden in there?
It isn’t that he didn’t think she would put cameras in there, it’s just that he thought he would know about them.
Lizzy: Don't worry brother. It was hot! You would have loved the way I tasted.
Landon with a wanton look on his face tries to remember when he used to get such sweet desserts. Lizzy notices how he is straining from thought.
Lizzy: I have it saved…
This snaps him out of his trance. Sure, they have plenty of videos of him with various women. This is different, I don’t think you can argue consent when the girl is dead.
Landon: Lizzy! That could get me in a lot of trouble. Did you keep the video of you murdering her?
Lizzy: Of course not!
She can tell her brother is upset, but she really needs him focused and on her side.
Lizzy: I’m sorry brother, I’m being selfish. I was just hoping we could watch it together sometime. I thought, maybe we could reenact…
Landon: It’s fine Lizzy!
The excitement in his voice lets her know that he is still under her control, for now. It looks like she might have to let him have his way with her on this trip. A small price to pay, and it isn’t like she wouldn’t enjoy it. Her brother is far better than Daddy ever was.
Lizzy: For now, I think you should finish getting ready. Our private jet is waiting for us.
Landon: What about you? I figured you’d have more than just one bag.
Lizzy: That’s just my ring gear and some essentials. We’re going to be gone for three months. I plan on doing a lot of shopping.
With that, Landon exits his sister’s room. As he heads back to finish doing some packing of his own, he can’t help but think to himself. With the two of them being in a different city every week, and away from home, hopefully Lizzy might control herself. Then again, she might just leave a trail of destruction everywhere she goes.
Night of the Immortals is over. If you ask anyone they will tell you that the show more than delivered. If you ask me? I’d tell you, that I should have been there. It should have been me facing Paige Garcia, or even getting another shot at Eternity.
That’s what I deserve.
Instead, I wasn’t even given a match. It was an insult, and once I want everyone to know didn’t go unnoticed. I wasn’t the only one who was cast aside either. The biggest show of the year only featured six of the women on the roster. Pretty disturbing since the Diamond Invitational was so successful.
Instead we had to sit and watch while guys who hadn’t be busting their asses every week returned and took spots we deserved. Spots that we are entitled to. It’s a shame. The Diamonds really could be the future of the IWF. Especially if I’m the one leading the charge.
This week I'm in a match with four other women. Women who should be just as angry as I am. They may not be Lizzy Dalmon, but they were left without a match at Night of the Immortals all the same.
Now that Pandora Freeman and Shea O’Hara hold the titles, a new chase begins. The match this week could go a long way in deciding the pecking order. I know I belong at the top of any list. I'll leave it to the rest of you to decide where you belong.
Sara Garcia, if it wasn't for your sister, nobody would even know you exist. I couldn't stand playing second fiddle to anyone, let alone my own twin. From the moment I was born I was the Dalmon who stood out most. Landon may have tried early on to push me from that throne, but he failed. He gave up and took his place at my feet. That's where you belong Sara. You'll always be second best in your own family. All that makes you is the first loser.
Crystal Millar, the one woman I've spent more time in the ring with than any other. I've said it from the moment I've walked in the door. I'm your replacement. Everything you think you are pales in comparison to me. I'm richer, more talented, and better looking. I'm the Diamond that the boys and girls dream about, not you! You may have beaten me a couple of weeks ago, but you'll never capitalize on it. Your days of any relevance are over. You just need to accept it.
Poor Astrid Hall, learning each week that she isn't quite ready for the big time. The girl who was the darling of development. You were supposed to be can't miss, but you haven't lived up to it. Do you know how I got a job with IWF? I was born. Just being a Dalmon got me fast tracked to the main roster. In just three weeks I was facing Eternity. Do you know why? It's because I'm a star. I have the fight in me to make it in this business. I'm not used to failure, it's a new concept for me. For you, you're probably used to it by now.
Alicia Lukas is probably seen as the biggest threat in the match. The one who came out of nowhere in the IWF. Where did that get her? An ass kicking by Eternity, like the rest of us. I've been told she's a big deal outside of IWF, as if any of that matters. The truth is, just like myself, the IWF is judging you by what you do in an IWF ring. That's a poor business model. I'm sure that the two of us could have fun in the ring together. Think of the service you'd be doing by making me look good.
We are five women from all different walks of life. It doesn't change the fact that we all want the same thing. Victory. I know one on one that winning would be a guaranteed victory for me. In a match like this the odds are still in my favor. I'm planning on winning this match and God help whomever screws it up for me.
Things are starting anew.
The past year may fade away, but Dalmons are forever!
