June 5th, 2017 - License Plate
Did anyone get the license plate of that truck that just ran me over? Yeah….I know it sounds like I’m trying to be funny and all, but seriously? Ouch. I get it though, I’m the Shield Maiden now, and I have a pretty huge target on my back. A target that so many girls were way too scared to go after when Eternity held it, but now that I hold it, they all seem to think I’m a much easier one.
Well that’s where they are wrong.
You see, I was one of the few women on this roster that had the balls to step up to Eternity and slap her in the face. I was one of the few women on this roster who had what it took to really get in the ring with her and show her that I wasn’t afraid, that I wasn’t going to let her mind games win, and at the end of the day? I came away victorious, I slayed the dragon, and I became the first ever two time Shieldmaiden.
People continue to underestimate me, and I find it remarkable, because every time they do, I blow them away. I’m not the scared little girl with a broken arm that they might remember. I’ve been forged in fire, I’ve been put under the highest amount of pressure, and I don’t know about you, but I remember being taught…
Diamonds are forged under pressure.
Yet Rowan wants to blindside me? Attack me from behind? That’s sweet honey. You can talk about how big and badass you are, but you don’t even have the balls to challenge me face to face? Must have really struck a nerve when I made you pass out in the middle of that ring. It’s fine though sweet cheeks, you want yourself a match? A shot at the shieldmaiden? I’m not afraid of you, I’m not afraid of anyone. You want to take me on and try and rip this championship away from me?
YOU’RE ON!!!

We open up inside the family home of the O’Hara’s, it’s late in the evening maybe even night but the family is gathered around the dinner table sharing out big plates of food from a rather large pot in the middle of the table. At the head opf the table is a very pale man with bright ginger hair, and a ginger beard to match, sitting next to him is Shea O’Hara, opposite her, is what we can only presume is her little sister, and at the opposite end is another pale and ginger woman. Among the very white skin and ginger hair sits Will Fenell next to Shea O’Hara. He has a big smile plastered on his face, as Mama O’Hara hands him a big plate of Irish Stew.
Mama O’Hara: D’ya want some dumplins wit yer stew William?
Chris looks up with a broad smile and holds his plate up, nodding his head. Shea looks around at her family and how warm they are being towards Will with a happy look on her face, before her Dad raises her glass.
Da O’Hara: I jus’ wanna take the time to welcome William intae our household. An’ tank him for lookin’ after our wee girl over in the states.
He raises a glass of Guinness and both Shea and her mother do the same, Shea’s sister instead raises a glass of coca cola, and then Will follows suit, taking a sip of Guinness for probably the first time in his life. He takes a big gulp and then his eyes grow wide as the thick black liquid slides down his throat, everyone in the room laughs.
Da O’Hara: Ah boy, that’ll put hairs on ye chest!
Shea O’Hara: Oh leave him alone pops, he’s not much of a drinker.
Da O’Hara: Ye come ta the wrong house fer that then pal, haha!
Everyone laughs, as Will manages a thumbs up, before joining in the laughing. After a few more minutes of eating, Mama O’Hara begins to clean up the plates, but Will stands up and puts his hands on hers, stopping her mid step.
Will Fenell: No please, I got dis.
Shea beams with pride as her mother looks a little taken aback at the generosity of Will who begins to clean the table and take the dishes into the kitchen for tidying up. Across the table Shea’s little sister starts making kissing sounds at Shea.
Shea O’Hara: Moira, you’re just jealous!
Moira O’Hara: Nah, am not. I like his brother. He does all them acrobatic flips like.
Shea O’Hara: Well maybe if you train hard enough you can do all “them acrobatic flips like”
Da O’Hara: Well, that’s enough o’ that, I reckon. Time fo’ bed. Up you go, Moira, Mama be in ta took ya in soon enough.
Just then Will walks in, wiping his hands off, with a smirk no his face. Shea gets up to give him a hug and a kiss on the cheel.
Da O’Hara: Not you though lad, you’ll be kippin’ on the sofa, ya hear?
Will Fenell: No sweat pops. Is your digs, your rules….I ain’t gonna cause no trouble.
There’s a moment of tension in the air as Da O’Hara stares Will down, and Will doesn’t exactly step down, but Shea pulls him aside, and the two head towards the sofa, where Mama O’Hara has already laid out some blankets for Will.
Mama O’Hara: Don’t mind him lovey, he’s a lil’ overprotective is all.
With that Shea leans in and gives Will another kiss before she heads upstairs to her room. As she opens the door she sees that it hasn’t changed at all. The room is plastered with posters of wrestlers, and punk bands. She smiles broadly before she walks over to the bed and like a tree just falls in a big heap and crashes.
Moments pass….what seems to be way too many moments…
Shea is laying in her bed, cuddling Archie, a smile on her face as she snuggles up to her childhood teddy bear when all of a sudden the moon shines brightly through the window, the curtains parting and Archie explodes, literally explodes into thousands and thousands of tiny little spiders. Shea jerks and screams as the spiders storm across her. She kicks and screams wildly, trying to get them off of her as they crawl across her arms, legs, and face. Just as one is about to crawl down her mouth two arms grab her and she is suddenly awake….
Will Fenell: Hey! Babe! Come on, wake up!
Shea looks around her bedroom, the light is on, but the curtains are closed, and Archie is nowhere to be found, still in the clutches of Eternity, and thankfully….not a spider in sight. She looks at Will, a tear in her eye as she holds back a sob, reaches in and grabs him tight, holding him, and hoping that the nightmare doesn’t come back.

Rowan…..I don’t know how you did it, but I know why. I know exactly what you’re trying to do, I know exactly what your end goal is, but I’m telling you right now, you will not get into my head, you will not stop me from beating you again.
That key word is, again.
Because no matter how you spin it, no matter how you try to defend yourself, the record book shows that I’ve beaten you twice Rowan. I’ve made you pass out in the middle of that ring, and it won’t be out of the realm of possibility for me to do it to you again, in fact, it’s my goal to do just that. Yeah, you’re a big girl, yeah you’re intimidating, but like I said….you don’t scare me. Do you hear me? You don’t frighten me in the slightest Rowan. I’ve fought scarier beings than you, and I’ve come out the other side the stronger for it, I’ve trained my entire life to be where I am, and I’m not going to let a bully like you try and throw me off the pedestal just because you see something shiny and want it, like some demonic magpie. You see someone weak, but I defy you, you see someone small, but I’ll surprise you.
I’m a warrior.
I’ve paid my price to be here, the blood, the sweat, the tears, my BROKEN ARM! I’ve worked harder than most of the women in this company just to get my second chance, and I’ll be damned if a bully like you is going to take that away from me Rowan. It just isn’t going to go down like that. All you had to do was walk out, and ask for a match, and you know damn well I would have given you one….but no, you see me as a threat - somewhere deep down, you know you can’t stand with me. You might have the height advantage, and the strength advantage, and….holy crap, the rage advantage….but I was born for this. I have the skills, I have the training, I have the know how. You’re gearing yourself up for a fight Rowan, but this won’t be that, it’ll be a wrestling match, a test of skills and honey?
You don’t have what it takes.
In a fist fight, you’d flatten me outright, I’m not arguing that, but if I get you to the ground, nah….WHEN I get you to the ground? I’m going to make you tap, I’m going to make you cry out in agony, and if you don;t tap? We’re going to see history repeat itself….and you’re going to pass out in the middle of that ring, because I promise you know Rowan MacDonnough. Shea O’Hara has slayed IWF’s worst monster already, and you can try and take her place, but I will always be here, ready to take you down, ready to fight for what is right. I told the world that I believed in fairy tales, but don’t mistake me for a damsel in distress.
Because this Diamond?
She’s the hero of her own story.
