Board of Directors Statement

The IWF Board of Directors would like to make a public apology regarding the decision to strip Roberto Verona of the Imperial Championship in 2016.

A year ago the IWF Board of Directors officially stripped Mr Verona of his Imperial Championship on a live edition of Monday Night Sacrifice. The Board would like to offers a sincere apology for this behaviour, which was not becoming of such a professional body, to Mr Verona and for any distress or damage to his public image this may have caused.

The Board of Directors acted rashly and deeply regrets this egregious attack against Mr Verona’s character. We are deeply indebted to Mr Verona for agreeing to step in to partner Spike Kane at Bloody Assizes this week on such short notice, demonstrating his continued commitment to IWF’s integrity as a professional wrestling organisation.
